In April 2014, I retired from my Last Job Ever. And began my Big Adventure.

For years I have dreamed about taking a trip around the world. During the last several years, my ambition was to slowly travel the world and actual LIVE in some of the places I visit. Although I traveled a lot as a child in a military family, I have seldom traveled abroad as an adult. But the wanderer chromosome within me has re-emerged from dormancy and I finally decided to make my dreams come true.

On June 14, 2014, after several months of preparation and planning, I loaded my Chrysler van and started my Big Adventure. My intention was to see much of the western part of the U.S. and after that itch was scratched, I would figure out where I wanted to go abroad.

This blog is my personal record of this journey. I am recording most of it with my Nikon DSLR camera and my iPhone. For every photo that I show here, another five to ten images have been captured. I am also using Adobe Lightroom and eventually Adobe Photoshop for image post-processing. I can see that I am already getting addicted to photography and the technology behind it. I will also post a few videos here.
